Up to Date
Out are the old 5×4 monorail film cameras.
David uses technical cameras now, still with shift and tilt movements but now coupled to large sensor ‘Leaf’ digital backs and WA digitar lenses. This combination helps give a fantastic film like quality to the images, which are in many ways even better than 5×4 plate.
They also offer the ability, through sliding backs, to create fantastic composite images both on a horizontal and vertical plane.
The high resolution, high dynamic range ‘Leaf’ digital backs used with razor sharp digitar lenses produce little to no distortion and create fantastic quality digital image files.
When these files are imported into the Mac and sensitively manipulated in post production they produce incredibly clean crisp images.
